Professional Societies/Chapters: Students Chapter of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

Computer science and Engineering runs a Students’ Chapter of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).All students admitting to the department joins the student’s chapter. The students’ chapter of ACM holds various activities round the year to aware the students about Computer Science Engineering fraternity and latest updates in the field. Activities like invited talks, competitions viz. quiz, and essay writing, poster and model making are being held time to time.

Tech Club

About The Club


GNIOT CSE Tech Club is a student association of the CSE department at GNIOT engineering College, established in 2018. The club aims to keep students up to date with first-hand experience of new technologies, acquire new skills and enhance their arsenal of skills, with a primary focus on technical skills (peer coaching, hackathon, tech fest, coding competition, public speaking, workshops and critical thinking skills, etc.), leadership skills and creativity. It also organizes workshops for creative skills such as photography, cinematography, and graphic design.

Outcomes of the Club

  • Skill Development: The club provides opportunities for members to develop and enhance various skills such as programming, public speaking, peer training, workshops, coding competitions, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Peer Support and Collaboration: Members can connect with like-minded individuals who share their passion for technology, collaborate on projects, and exchange ideas and resources.
  • Leadership Experience: The club offers leadership roles such as president, vice president, treasurer, or event organizer, providing experience in team management and coordination.
  • Networking and Industry Connections: Guest speakers, industry professionals, and alumni interactions offer networking opportunities, mentorship, internships, or job possibilities.
  • Competitive Opportunities: Members participate in competitions, hackathons, and coding challenges to test skills, gain recognition, and win prizes or awards.
  • Cultural Exchange: Clubs focused on specific cultures and communities promote diversity and inclusion by sharing traditions, customs, and experiences.

Selection Procedure

  • Expression of Interest: Interested students express their interest by filling out an application form or Google Form.
  • Eligibility Requirements: Membership criteria may include educational level, leadership qualities, or prior experience relevant to the Tech club.
  • Interview: Potential members are assessed based on their suitability and commitment to the club.
  • Selection Committee or Club Officers' Evaluation: Candidates are evaluated based on their alignment with the club's goals, enthusiasm, and potential contributions.
  • Membership Notification: Applicants are notified of the selection results after the evaluation process is completed.
