The Central Projects & Research Committee (CPRC) at GNIOT Institute of Engineering, Greater Noida, recently hosted its esteemed CPRC Appreciation Awards ceremony on Friday, May 17th, 2024. Dr. Mukesh Ojha Wins Best Research Paper Presentation Award at 2nd World Patent Conclave

In a significant achievement, Dr. Mukesh Ojha, HOD ECE Department, GNIOT has been awarded the prestigious Best Research Paper Presentation accolade at the esteemed 2nd World Patent Conclave. The event, held on May 5, 2024, at ASM in New Delhi, witnessed Dr. Ojha's exceptional contribution to the field of research.

GNIOT's ECE department Hosts a Successful Faculty Development Program on "Edge IoT Workflow Design and Implementation"

Greater Noida, November 2024 – The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at GNIOT successfully organized a five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled "Optimizing Real-Time Intelligence: Edge IoT Workflow Design and Implementation" from 19th to 22nd November 2024. The program, conducted in association with DigiTod Technologies and ST Micro, saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members and researchers, and took place at Lab No. 150, beginning at 9:30 AM each day.

The first day laid the foundation by introducing participants to the Edge AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) workflow. It focused on Data Acquisition and Sensor Data Logging, providing an overview of IoT systems. Hands-on sessions on MQTT for IoT communications were also conducted, covering a crucial protocol in IoT architectures.

On the second day, participants delved deeper into advanced topics such as cloud-based condition monitoring and embedded machine learning using TensorFlow Lite, equipping them with the knowledge to implement real-time intelligence solutions utilizing edge computing and AI.

The third day explored real-world applications of Edge AIoT, including sensor fusion techniques, energy-efficient AI models, and edge device optimization. Participants engaged in discussions on practical case studies and gained essential skills for real-world problem-solving and research opportunities.

The program concluded with positive feedback from the 21 student participants, who highlighted the enriching learning experience. Special thanks were given to GNIOT’s management, including Director Prof. Dr. Dhiraj Gupta, Academic Advisor Prof. Dr. S.N. Sharan, and Head of ECE Dr. Mukesh K. Ojha, for their unwavering support. The program also appreciated expert speaker Ms. Mrinalini for her engaging sessions that enriched the participants' learning journey.

This FDP successfully enhanced the knowledge and practical skills of participants, reinforcing the department's commitment to advancing cutting-edge technologies in IoT and edge computing.

GNIOT Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering Hosts Successful Short-Term Course on "Curriculum Development Process Through ICT-128"

Greater Noida, July 2024 – The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at GNIOT, in collaboration with NITTTR Chandigarh, successfully organized a short-term course on "Curriculum Development Process Through ICT-128" from 22nd July to 27th July 2024. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 34 attendees, who engaged in a week-long series of workshops, interactive sessions, and hands-on activities aimed at enhancing their skills in curriculum development using ICT tools.

The course began with an inaugural session that emphasized the significance of curriculum development in modern education and the critical role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in transforming teaching methodologies. Esteemed speakers from NITTTR Chandigarh shared their expertise and set the stage for an insightful and interactive week.

Key topics covered during the course included Curriculum Design Frameworks, ICT Tools and Applications, Best Practices in ICT Integration, and strategies for Assessment and Evaluation. Participants gained practical experience through group discussions and project work, where they designed curriculum modules incorporating ICT tools.

The event concluded with a presentation of the participants’ projects, highlighting their newly acquired skills in integrating ICT into curriculum development.

Special thanks were extended to the Management of GNIOT for their support, which contributed to the successful execution of the course. This event marks another step in GNIOT’s commitment to academic excellence and professional development.
