We have started our journey in the year of 2001, with a vision of Mechanical Engineering Department has to be recognized as a premier Department by providing education that enables graduates and postgraduates to meet current requirements pertaining to the industry and equip them to excel in the area of innovation, research & development. The mission of the department is to nurture young individuals with sound mechanical engineering knowledge, skill and ethically in their pursuit of mechanical engineering so that they can excel as professional globally. Besides this, to provide facilities and conducive environment to get diverse careers as well as research in the field of mechanical engineering to our students.
To achieve these goals Mechanical Engineering Department has highly qualified and experienced faculty members having academic as well industrial experience covering various specializations such as thermal engineering, design and manufacturing engineering etc. The department has well equipped labs such as Central Workshop, Materials Testing Lab, RAC Lab, HMT Lab, Fluid Mechanics & Fluid Machinery Lab, Thermodynamics Lab, CAD Lab, etc with trained and skilled staff members.
Till date Mechanical Engineering Department has more than1400+ Alumni, which are working across the globe at various positions in reputed industries such as Tata Consultancy Services, Minda Industries Ltd., IndusInd Bank, Meinhardt Singapore Pte Ltd etc. They are continuously supports their juniors in various ways such as by exposure of latest trends in Mechanical Engineering fields apart from academic curriculum, social and cultural events round the year so that they will become global player with human touch.
