MICROSOFT INDUSTRIAL VISIT

The Department of CSE-AI & AI-DS at GNIOT, in association with the Manan Club, organized an enriching Industrial Visit to the Microsoft Sovereign Office on 23rd May 2025. This industry interaction aimed to provide students early exposure to real-world applications of Artificial Intelligence and emerging enterprise solutions. During the session, students were introduced to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence followed by an in-depth discussion on cloud computing and Microsoft's innovations in the AI domain. Experts from Microsoft led engaging knowledge-sharing sessions focused on how AI is transforming modern industries and day-to-day tech workflows. This learning experience significantly enhanced students’ technical understanding, sparked curiosity around ethical AI development, and opened doors to new-age career aspirations. It also bridged the gap between classroom knowledge and industrial expectations.

MOCK EMERGENCY EVACUATION DRILL

The Department of CSE-AI & AI-DS had the privilege of organizing a vital and practical Mock Emergency Evacuation Drill on May 7th, 2025, at the GNIOT campus. This initiative was conducted as part of our continuous commitment to cultivating a safe, responsive, and aware campus environment for both students and staff. The drill simulated real-time emergency scenarios, enabling participants to actively engage in understanding and executing emergency protocols. Through structured evacuation strategies and team coordination, students were trained to make swift, disciplined, and effective decisions under pressure. This proactive event was aimed at fostering a culture of safety, leadership, and preparedness in line with GNIOT’s broader vision of holistic education and social responsibility.

TREE PLANTATION AND VILLAGE PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION DRIVE

Under the transformative initiative of “Unnat Bharat Abhiyan”, the Department of CSE-AI and AI-DS, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of GNIOT, Greater Noida, successfully conducted a “Tree Plantation and Village Problem Identification Drive” on 30th April 2025 at Kalaunda Village.

WORKSHOP ON DATA VISUALIZATION USING POWER BI

The Department of CSE-AI & AI-DS, had the privilege of organizing an insightful and hands-on workshop on Data Visualization Using Power BI on April 23rd, 2025, at GNIOT, a NAAC A+ Engineering Institute. The workshop was led by the esteemed Dr. Prateek Gupta, Data Scientist at DUCAT Noida, who shared his profound knowledge and expertise in data analytics and visualization. Focused on real-world applications of Power BI, Dr. Gupta covered essential topics such as data import and transformation, creating interactive dashboards, and real-time data analytics. Participants engaged actively through practical exercises, sharpening their skills in data visualization and business intelligence. This workshop served as an invaluable learning experience, inspiring students to explore the power of data in decision-making processes across industries.

WEBINAR ON CHATGPT, LLMS, PROMPTS, AND AI TOOLS

The students of the Manan Club in the Department of CSE AI&AI-DS had the privilege of hosting a workshop on Business Model Canvas on 29th March at GNIOT, a NAAC A+ Engineering Institute. The workshop was conducted by the keynote speaker Dr. Saurabh Pramanik, Chief AI Governance Officer, Bank Muscat, as the resource person, who shared his extensive knowledge and experience in the field.

WORKSHOP ON BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS

The students of the Manan Club in the Department of CSE AI&AI-DS had the privilege of hosting a workshop on Business Model Canvas on 27th March at GNIOT, a NAAC A+ Engineering Institute. The workshop was conducted by the keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Anuranjan Misra, Dean (Innovation & Entrepreneurship) as the resource person, who shared his extensive knowledge and experience in the field. Focused on the structured approach to designing and analyzing business models, Prof. Dr. Anuranjan Misra emphasized the key components required to build a successful and scalable business framework. Participants learned about value proposition, revenue streams, customer segments, and key activities essential for a sustainable business. This interactive session and hands-on activities allowed students to develop their own business models and receive expert feedback.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO REPUBLIC MEDIA NETWORK FOR REPUBLIC YOUTH SUMMIT – TO THE YUVA, FROM THE YUVA

The visit was organized under the banner of the GNIOT MANAN Club from the CSE–AI & AI-DS department. The primary objective of this visit was to provide students with real-world exposure to youth engagement in shaping India’s future, especially in the domains of media, communication, and leadership. The summit provided a valuable opportunity for students to gain insights into socio-political discussions, technological advancements, and the power of youth-driven movements.

NUKKAD NATAK AND QUIZ COMPETITION

In the digital age, where the world is interconnected through the web, cybercrime has emerged as a formidable threat to individuals, businesses, and nations alike. Our nukkad natak aims to shed light on the various dimensions of cybercrime and educate the audience on the importance of cybersecurity.

MIND YOUR LOGIC

AI&DS department of GNIOT organized a leadership competition called "Mind Your Logic" which was successfully organized by MANAN Club in association with IIC for all students of B.Tech 2nd Year CSE-AI, CSE-DS, CSE-Design and AI-DS branches. The competition was divided into two levels: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) on the first level and coding questions with all provided constraints on the second level.

POSTER MAKING COMPETITION

The activity was designed to motivate the younger generation who are the potential Eco Warriors. They were encouraged to speak about ecosystem degradation and present real-time solutions to some of the challenges faced by the globe.

ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON CYBER SECURITY

Dr. Nihar Ranjan Roy, a cyber-security expert, was the guest speaker who enlightened various issues on protection and security in cyber space. Following topics were covered with hands-on by the speaker:
• SQL Injection
• Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)
• Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)
• File Inclusion Vulnerabilities
• Brute-Force and Dictionary Attacks
The entire discussion was intelligent, engaging, and educational.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON “INNOVATION & START UP”

Department of CSE-AI&DS, Greater Noida Institute of Technology (Engineering Institute), organized a panel discussion on Innovation and Start-Up on 30th April 2024 for all students of B.Tech 2nd Year CSE-AI, CSE-DS, CSE-Design and AI-DS branches.
The panelists were Mr. Saurav Kumar (Deputy General Manager TBI), Mr. Bhudev Chauhan (Manager-Admin TBI), and Dr. Anuranjan Mishra (Dean IIC, GNIOT, Gr. Noida). Panelists emphasized the importance of securing funding for startups and discussed various sources, including venture capital, angel investors, crowdfunding, and government grants. Strategies for building investor relationships and managing financial resources effectively were highlighted. The significance of mentorship and support networks in nurturing startup founders and fostering innovation was underscored. Successful mentorship programs, incubators, accelerators, and networking events were discussed as essential elements of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Overall, the panel discussion provided valuable insights and actionable strategies for aspiring entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, and ecosystem builders to support innovation and startup growth.

AN EXPERT TALK ON TRENDS AND OPPORTUNITIES IN 4.0 INDUSTRY

The AI-DS Department organized an Expert Talk on “Trend and Opportunities in 4.0 Industry” on January 24th, 2024. Mr. Neel Panicker, an expert with 12 years of teaching and coaching experience in the industry, delivered this talk. Industry 4.0 is built on four main principles: Interconnectivity, real-time data exchange, seamless synchronization, and collaboration across processes. Using AI and IoT, we can improve productivity, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance quality, safety, and sustainability.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT IN AUTOMATED ANAMIKA SUGAR MILLS

Worldwide, sugar factories are being modernized and automated in response to the need for efficient production and global competitiveness. The industrial visit to Automated Anamika Sugar Mills Pvt. Ltd. provided students with valuable practical exposure to the operations of a sugar manufacturing plant. It served as a platform for integrating theoretical knowledge with real-world industrial applications, enhancing their understanding of computer science principles in the context of industrial processes.

WORKSHOP ON MACHINE LEARNING

The speaker highlighted that AI and ML are terms that nearly everyone has heard of these days. Even those who aren’t familiar with these terms encounter these new technologies almost every day. Research shows that 77 percent of the devices that we currently use have AI built into them. From a bevy of “smart” devices to Netflix recommendations to products like Amazon’s Alexa and Google Home, AI is the force behind many modern technological comforts that are now part of our day-to-day lives. The session provided valuable insights into how AI and machine learning are changing our everyday interactions with technology.

EXPERT LECTURE ON “GENERATIVE AI AND THE FUTURE OF JOBS”

AI-DS department of GNIOT organised an expert lecture on “GENERATIVE AI AND THE FUTURE OF JOBS”. The lecture took place in First Floor seminar hall in GNIOT, Greater Noida on 2nd November, 2023. The main objective of the guest lecture was to provide attendees valuable insights into the rapidly evolving landscape of AI and its impact on future career prospects.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT IN “APPWARS TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD”

The activity took place in APPWARS TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD, Noida on 13th Oct, 2023. The main objective of this activity was to create a programming environment for students. A team of 54 members including students and faculty members visited the company.

IMPORTANCE OF CLEANLINESS IN LIFE

The main objective of this activity was to create a social awareness about cleanliness and its impact on our health and surrounding environment. A team of 06 members including students headed by Dr. Ishwar Singh delivered lectures to the students of various classes on the topic and encouraged them to follow the ways to keep themselves and environment neat and clean to be healthy in life. Our senior team member Dr. Sakshi Sood from GIMS carried out Health Checkup of many villagers and delivered them tips to stay healthy. The village activity was very successful in creating an impact in the lives of the participants.
